  1. What do you see? List the objects, figures, colors, shapes, background, etc. Be objective!

I see a woman like top half figure pouring a pink liquid from a megaphone into a field of pink flowers. The background is a pink to yellow gradient with white Arabic text in the background too.

  1. How are the elements (line, shape, color, value, texture, space, form) used to create a composition? What principles (balance, contrast, emphasis, pattern, unity, movement, rhythm) are present in the work? How are these principles used to create a composition? For each question, reference evidence that you see in the artwork.

The colors and unity help make this piece what it is. The contrast of colors between the starry, textured person and the simple background help you notice the person pouring. The unity in color from what she is pouring and the flowers is also important and I believe is the point of the piece. There is a common theme of pink, but it isn't overwhelming. Because our eyes read from left to right, I first noticed the person, then the liquid then the flowers. This shows how well the movement is in this piece.

  1. What do you think the designer is trying to say? What is the main theme or idea behind this piece? If you were inside this graphic work, what would you be feeling/thinking? What do you think the title means? For each question, reference evidence that you see in the artwork.

I think the designer may be trying to show how "mother nature" creates nature, as it is a female with long hair who is pouring 'life' into the flowers. Then I looked at the title, "Cosmic Rosey Way", and I still believe my previous idea but it clearly has more to do with space and the cosmos, as 'rosey way' is a derivative from the Milky Way. If I were in this piece, I would happy as all the colors are relatively vibrant and I'm in a field of flowers, which is pretty benevolent.

  1. EVALUATION:  Do you think the artist was successful in conveying an idea? Why or why not? Do you think this is a good work of art or not? Give 3 reasons with an explanation for your reasons. (2 points)

I feel like the artist was successful in conveying their idea, because before receiving the hint of the title, I guessed pretty close to what it was supposed to be about. I think this is a good work of art. It has nice flow/movement, crisp and compatible colors, and an interesting topic.
